Due to the thick texture, the socks are comfortable and provide support when you slip into your rubber boot, for example. Especially when you have to endure long periods of immobility in cold temperatures (e.g. fishing or at the market) or when you are a craftsman exposed to the elements, the double socks provide excellent warmth while preventing perspiration. This is because the alpaca fiber is hollow on the inside and has excellent thermal properties: The sock is climate regulating and ensures dry and warm feet.

When you turn the socks over you have a different color. You turn from black to gray and from dark to light brown or vice versa.
